Litter Pick of open spaces and shrubbery/green areas
Richfield Avenue green margins and playing fields
Litter Pick Project on Friday 13 April – This event will run through the day, starting from 10 am, so that volunteers have the choice of start time and how many hours they can spare. We're registered with "Keep Britain Tidy" on the "Litter Heroes" campaign so we're hoping that LOCAL PEOPLE can spare some hours at some point during Friday 13 April to make this a successful clean sweep of the Richfield Avenue green margins and adjoining open areas towards the Thames. If we get enough enthusiastic volunteers we can also clear some other local green areas and open spaces where litter is a persistent problem. A hi-viz vest, a litter picking tool and RBC sacks will be provided. We also have a limited range of protective gloves. If you, and/or some people you know, could help with this local environmental improvement please make contact by the end of Wednesday 11 April with your preferred start time and likely number of hours available. Final details will then be confirmed to volunteers on Thursday 12 April, with meeting point and any other info. Please contact me if you have any suggestions for a litter pick near you or questions about this event. Use Messenger or email or phone/text 07768 958407 – Richard Denney, Caversham GLOBE.
